It sounds truly idyllic: the Vertovšek excursion farm alone on a hill surrounded by meadows, fields, and orchards. The vast shady picnic area includes a dance area and a small stage for live music.
Their food offer includes roast suckling pig, lamb, young goat, čevapčiči . . ., and guests can prepare their meat themselves if they wish. The house specialties also include homemade bread, various soups (beef, mushroom), strudel, buckwheat and corn žganci (groats), and even the vegetarians are well looked after. The dining room holds 60 guests and is available for special luncheons and celebrations.
There is lots of space for family recreation and outdoor games and many choices for longer or shorter walk in nature. It is an hour and a half walk to Sv. Jošt and two hours to Podsreda, while the ascent to Bohor will take you three hours. The Atomske Toplice and Čatež health resorts are only twenty kilometers away.
