The Alpine Dairy Museum is arranged in an abandoned village dairy where cheese was still produced only decades ago. The original equipment has been preserved, and the items exhibited tell the story of the life of the alpine herdsmen, the work in the mountains, and Bohinj’s pastures, settlements, and alpine dairy cottages. One of these houses, a wooden herdsman?s house from Mount Zajamniki built in 1849, has been set up in the museum.
The Alpine Dairy Museum is open from 26.12 to 30.06 every day except Monday from 10:00 to 12:00 and 16:00 to 18:00 and from 01.07 to 31.08. every day except Monday from 11:00 to 19:00. The museum is closed from 26.10 to 25.12.
