A visit to picturesque Istrian villages with ancient paths between vineyards and olive groves and the bewitching scent of forest solitude.
Access and starting points:
Via the A1 motorway to Koper and via Road 11 over Šmarje to the Dragonja village, continuing through the village to the valley of the Dragonja river. At the turning of the road for St. Peter, there is a small parking lot, where we leave the vehicle.
Description:
The path is excellently marked. We first ascend St. Peter, continuing to the village of Nova vas and then towards the wide slope, where the age-old village of Krkavče is located. We descend from the village to the Dragonja valley and return to the starting point along the ancient paths above the valley.
