Hotel Šport and Pension Jelka are located in the immediate vicinity of the ski center. The parking lot is only 50 meters from the ski slopes. The greater part of the Pokljuka plateau lies between 1200 and 1500 meters above sea level. Its cross-country ski trails, which attract both recreational skiers and racers from around the world, run across Rudno polje and through the Pokljuka forests, which in summer are very popular areas for collecting forest fruits. On the slopes that surround the plateau, the farmers graze cattle and sheep and produce cheese. Pokljuka is also an excellent starting point for hiking and mountain climbing trips in the Triglav mountain range.
