This house is a typical example of a Kranj town house of the transition period from the 15th century to the 16th century characterised by typical late Gothic and renaissance elements. Typical are also its ground plan and the prominence in the first floor leaning against segmental stone consoles. The semicircular poratla is shaped with the edge cut on »buckwheat grain«. The façade is ornamented partly by renewed architectual painting of so called sewn corners. The buliding did not under go bigger changes except in the 19th century when the lower and the upper verstibules were vaulted. An old name of the house was »Balant«.
