Our farm is situated on the outskirts of Brda, close to the border with the Italian viniferous region Collio, where the Brda’s hills lower a little bit. The knowledge of wine growing and wine making is transmitted from generation to generation since 1923, when Valentin Keber and his son-inlaw Andrej Benedetic bought from the Count Teuffenbach 2 hectares of vineyard with the name Brgalotišce. The vineyard is named after the large stones, »balote« in Brda’s dialect, which were laying in the vineyards’ rows, »brajde«. The next generations on the farm were carefully managing and increasing the surface, so we have today vineyards on ten hectares.
